Enhanced Online Security

Norwood Bank is proud to deliver the highest level of security for our Internet Banking customers. A new log in procedure will help to ensure that your information is secure, protecting you from fraud and identity theft.
How it works - Enhanced Online Security verifies your identity in two-ways. Every time you log in to Internet Banking, the bank identifies you, and it lets you identify the bank using a private image and pass phrase
Each user will be randomly assigned a picture. You will also be asked to enter a pass phrase that will be easy for you to recognize. The pass phrase is not your password. It is simply a phrase that you will recognize when it automatically appears on your log in screen every time you access online banking.
The use of the picture and pass phrase lets you identify the Norwood Bank web site so you can be sure you are doing business at the correct site.
The system will also ask you to answer three security questions. There are several security questions you can select from by using the drop-down menu. These questions will be used to identify you if you log into online banking from a public computer. This gives the Bank and additional way to identify you.
If you try to log into online banking and the picture and pass phrase do not match what was assigned to you, close your browser and try again. If the picture and pass phrase still do not match, contact the bank at 781-440-4260.
It is very easy to enroll - there is no new software to install, you just simply follow the instructions on the screen the first time you log in. We also have an online education center that walks you through the process and answers questions about how the new feature works and how it will benefit you.
